 NVMI is a name popping up on projects across the music landscape of our beloved Mza(South Africa). Seeding and planting sonic and artistic roots in the form of foundational production value on projects, as well a pivotal collaborative role of writing. The multi-dimensional artist from Jozi (Johannesburg) has featured on projects with TRON Pyre, Shane Eagle, The Woodz, Tom Saison and many more.

 

Now NVMI brings us a provocative and alluring live rendition of his single ‘What U Need’ from his Let Me In project. Diving completely into love, that uthando (love) you’ll put everything on the line for. However in the words of the artist himself  “Let Me In is a personal musical diary of my most recent experience of falling in love, moments of vulnerability we shared, promises we made, and the eternity we wished for.” It was an honest love, pure and light-hearted, heartfelt, and real love, even if it wasbrief.

A musician from young, starting at age 6, NVMIwas instructed in guitar by his father, and fell inlove with the artform ever since. Now, NVMI has elevated his craft, learning and practicingother instruments such as piano, drums and more. The musician always works to improve his sound and grow amongst other artists. His ‘What U Need’ live show was shot by the sharp and vigilant eye of @foreverfortune [Fortune Digomo] with The Woodz as a soulistic vocal feature, and the meticulous fingers and tailored strings of Muano Ramakuela on the guitar. This is an experience into the sound of NVMI, enjoyed not only through audio but a visual energy that speaks to the song and project, tying this passion and pain inspired project into a resounding piece of unconditional intention and love.
